If not you will need someone to meet you at Charmouth with your clothes.
Because of this Skin Swimmers need to ask permission to swim in skins please email email@example.com
Individual Details of which WAVE you will be allocated to will be emailed out on or by 5th September 2020.
All swimmers need to check in on LYME REGIS SANDY BEACH at the CHECK IN tent near the start at least 60 MINUTES BEFORE your allotted time… If you miss this then you may have to wait some time possibly up to 45 minutes AFTER your allotted time.
Each swimmer is allowed ONE bag. This can be checked into The Langmoor Room with your allotted ticket number given to you at registration & it will be kept here for you until you return to Lyme Regis after your swim. There are showers on the beach to rinse off yourselves and wetsuits.
You will be allotted a wave in groups of approximately 25 swimmers. 15 minutes before your start time make your way to where your numbered WAVE FLAG is. You will be checked in and briefed about the course, then make your way to the pre swim area. Each group will then start at the allotted start time by an air horn. It is important that you let us know on how long you believe the swim will take you when registering so we can put you in the right WAVE.
YOU CAN NOT change which WAVE you are in on the day of the swim.
You will need to go through the scanner on your way out of the water, this is to ensure no one is left in the water as well as giving you a swim time should you require it. You will be handed your Lyme Splash Medal after you have been scanned out and our photographer will take your photograph at the YELLOW FINISH ARCH. You can then go and get your hot drink and biscuits.
Thanks to our splendid sponsor Lyme Rib Rides (http://www.lymeribrides.com) every swimmer will be whisked back to Lyme Regis for free. You can wrap up in a space blanket having had a hot drink and biscuits on the beach. You will need to re enter the water and swim a 40 yards to get into the boat. Then enjoy the fast lane back to Lyme after your swim.
There are lots of places to eat in Lyme Regis whether you want fish & chips, a snack or something a bit more substantial.
The event ends back at the LYME REGIS CHECKIN Tent where we will draw the raffle after the last swimmer has finished. Swimmers who win the Fastest, Oldest, Youngest and Longest in the Water Awards will receive prizes in the post after the event.
T-shirts ordered prior to the event will be posted to you.
